Islamabad: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has achieved its first success in making Hajj 2025 more affordable for pilgrims.

According to sources, the Ministry has secured a reduction of $50 in airfare per pilgrim compared to the previous year. In 2024, the airfare was set at $850 per pilgrim, but for the upcoming Hajj season, the Ministry has negotiated with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to reduce the cost to $800.

Additionally, the Ministry has allocated a quota of 35,000 pilgrims to PIA for Hajj flights. Saudi Airlines will also cater to another 35,000 pilgrims, ensuring smooth travel arrangements for those undertaking the sacred journey.

This step is part of broader efforts to make the pilgrimage more cost-effective and accessible for intending pilgrims. Further details and arrangements are expected to be announced in the coming months.
