The Metro bus service in Rawalpindi and Islamabad will be suspended from October 14 to 17 due to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.

According to the metro administration, the service will continue as usual until October 13, but operations will be halted for the summit days based on district administration directives.

The SCO summit, scheduled for October 15 and 16 in Islamabad, will see participation from several member countries, including China, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Iran’s First Vice President and India’s Foreign Minister will also represent their nations.

According to Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will engage in bilateral talks with various delegations during the summit. Discussions will focus on economic cooperation, trade, environmental issues, and enhancing cultural and social ties.
