WEBDESK: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain and snowfall across various parts of the country. Most areas will experience cold and dry weather, while mountainous regions are expected to face intense cold waves.

Punjab and upper Sindh are likely to have foggy nights. Cities including Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Multan, and Rahim Yar Khan may experience moderate to dense fog, affecting visibility.

Islamabad and surrounding areas will remain cold and dry, while areas like Murree and Galyat are expected to experience severe cold.

In northwestern Balochistan, light rain and snowfall are forecast in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, and nearby regions. Other areas in Balochistan will remain cold and dry, with temperatures dropping significantly at night.

Moreover, cities like Sukkur, Larkana, and Nawabshah in Sindh are expected to experience moderate to dense fog, impacting travel during nighttime and early mornings.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s mountainous areas will experience freezing temperatures. Fog is also expected in cities like Peshawar, Mardan, and Dera Ismail Khan during the night.

The minimum temperature recorded this morning was 11°C, with the current temperature at 17°C. The day’s maximum temperature is expected to reach 25-27°C. Humidity stands at 63%, with winds blowing from the northeast.

PMD has advised citizens to take precautions during the ongoing weather changes. Drivers are urged to reduce speed and drive carefully due to low visibility caused by fog.
