The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) initiated the ‘First Digital Integrated Count’ training program for Census Master Trainers (CMTs) on Monday, as part of the country’s 7th Agricultural Census.

The training, hosted at the National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF), aims to equip 311 CMTs with the skills to train 6,500 enumerators and 1,368 supervisors across 160 districts.

This marks Pakistan’s inaugural digital and integrated census covering agricultural lands, crops, livestock, and machinery.

Chief Statistician Dr. Naeemuz Zafar highlighted the importance of data collection for informed decision-making and GDP contribution. The training program, divided into four groups, focuses on standardizing concepts and ensuring data quality. Field operations, including the enumeration of large holdings, are set for August to October 2024.
