Lahore experienced major disruption as it received its heaviest rainfall in nearly 44 years, with some areas recording more than 337 mm of rain in just a few hours.
The heaviest rainfall in 44 years in the provincial capital led to widespread flooding in lower areas. The intense downpour has submerged streets, caused damage to buildings, halted traffic, and led to the closure of offices and shops.
The rainfall began early in the morning, with a heavy monsoon downpour lasting over two hours. Torrential rain caused flooding in low-lying areas, submerging regions such as Mall Road, Ferozepur Road, Model Town, Faisal Town, Lakshmi Chowk, and Anarkali.
