LAHORE: Lahore is gearing up for its first-ever floating restaurant on the Lahore Canal near Harbanspura, as reported by media.

The media reports indicate that the initiative is led by the Park & Horticulture Authority (PHA). The authority is said to have set aside Rs350 million for Lahore floating restaurant project.

As per the reports, the floating dining boat will feature cafes, seating areas, and children’s play areas, creating family-friendly leisure hub.

PHA plans to revamp the canal

The PHA also proposes renovating a nearby, rarely used picnic site in an attempt to attract more locals as well as tourists. The three firms shortlisted to construct this ambitious vision are Babar & Co, HRD Construction, and Riyaz Enterprises.

A breathtaking environment with recreational facilities and beautiful landscaping has been proposed for development.
