ISLAMABAD: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to disburse salary and pensions for December 2024 in advance to all its Christian employees and pensioners on the occasion of Christmas.
To this effect, the KP Finance Department has sent a letter to all government departments, instructing them to disburse the payments to employees belonging to the Christian community.
The Finance Department letter stated that Christmas will be celebrated on December 25, 2024. It is, therefore, requested that the salary and pension should be disbursed by December 20 in order to facilitate the Christian community to better fulfill its Christmas celebrations.
Earlier, the Punjab government also notified the disbursement of December salaries to Christian employees by December 20.
The Punjab government has directed the finance department of the province to facilitate all affected departments with payments of salaries and pensions to Christian employment holders.
The Sindh government also announced early payments of salary and pension for Christian employees on December 18, 2024.
