PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has deployed his official helicopter to deliver life-saving drugs to Kurram district following the shortage caused by road closures.
Dunya News, citing government sources, reported that the helicopter carried two consignments of essential medicines valued at Rs6.3 million, arrived in Kurram today.
The chief minister directed the concerned authorities to continue daily medicines deliveries by helicopter until the district’s land routes are reopened.
Furthermore, sources said that the KP chief minister has tasked the health adviser and secretary to personally oversee the process to ensure the uninterrupted supply of essential medicines in the area.
“The availability of life-saving medicines must be ensured at all times,” the chief minister said. KP CM Gandapur reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to operating all available resources to ensure the timely delivery of medical supplies to the Kurram district.
