The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced a planned gas suspension in several Karachi areas on Sunday, August 4. According to the company’s statement, the gas supply will be halted for 12 hours from 8 AM to 8 PM.

This interruption is part of SSGC’s efforts to enhance gas pressure for domestic, industrial, and commercial users in Karachi. During this period, a new 20-inch diameter, 12-kilometer gas distribution pipeline will be integrated into the existing system.

The affected areas include parts of Korangi, Hashmi Goth, Mansehra Colony, Allahabad Goth, and surrounding regions. Last Sunday, similar shutdowns impacted a broad range of locations including Surjani Town, North Karachi, Manghopir Town, Qasba Town, Orangi Town, North Nazimabad, FB Area, Gulberg, Buffer Zone, SITE Industrial Area, Baldia Town, Ittehad Town, Mauripur, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Ahsanabad, Janjal Goth, and SITE Super Highway, among others.
