A woman in Islamabad jumped from a second-floor window in a desperate bid to escape a sexual assault after being lured into a trap and blackmailed into committing obscene acts.
The incident took place in a flat at Medical Society Crown Plaza, located in Sector E-11. The victim, hailing from Azad Kashmir, was invited to the federal capital by her friend Shakeela, the sister of the suspect, for a city tour.
Upon arrival, NK was trapped inside the house by Shakeela’s brother, Shaan, also known as Shani. Shaan forcibly took her mobile phone and Rs50,000 in cash. Despite NK’s pleas for the return of her belongings and to be allowed to leave, Shaan and his accomplices continued to blackmail her, coercing her to commit adultery.
In a desperate attempt to escape the sexual assault, NK jumped out of the second-floor window. She was immediately taken to a hospital where she received medical treatment for her injuries.
The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) under sections 380, 342, and 354 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against Shaan, who reportedly runs a massage center in Islamabad. Authorities have also launched an investigation to determine whether Shaan is part of a larger blackmailing ring that targets innocent women.
