ISLAMABAD: The schools in Islamabad will remain open on Saturday, to compensate the academic loss due to frequent closure of Educational Institutions, government of Pakistan Federal Directorate of Education notified on Friday.
All the schools in federal capital will observe Saturday as a working day, effective from tomorrow November 30, to February 1, 2025.
“To compensate the academic loss due to frequent closure of Educational Institutions it is decided by the competent authority that Saturday will be observed as working day in all the Educational Institutions working under the ambit of Federal Directorate of Education w.e.f. 30-11-2024 to 01-02-2025. All educational institutions shall observe six working days with already notified official timings,” read the notification issued on November 29.
The schools in Islamabad see frequent closures due to protests or road closures because of frequent visits of state-level international delegations.
This month, the educational institutions in the federal capital remained closed for four days because of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s protests at D-Chowk.
