ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police have pledged to take all necessary measures to ensure the enforcement of Section 144, currently in effect in the federal capital, Islamabad, and take strict action against violators, in light of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) calling for a protest on Sunday, November 24.
According to a police spokesperson, this action is being implemented as per the Islamabad High Court’s directive to maintain public order in the city. The police have urged citizens to refrain from participating in any unlawful activities.
The spokesperson further stated that all available resources will be utilised to protect the lives, property, and assets of the public. The police are actively working to maintain law and order in the city, with a clear warning that strict action will be taken against anyone who violates the law.
The Punjab government has also enforced Section 144 across the province, prohibiting all forms of protests, rallies, and public gatherings ahead of the PTI protest in Islamabad on November 24.
