A head constable from the Islamabad police force has been dismissed after being found guilty of robbery at the residence of the Korean ambassador.
Muhammad Tariq, the head constable in question, was dismissed following the recommendations of an inquiry committee. The committee’s findings confirmed Tariq’s involvement in the robbery, which occurred on October 2, 2017. Along with other constables, Tariq stole valuables, including gold, from the ambassador’s home.

The Islamabad police officer’s dismissal comes after the Korean ambassador lodged a complaint leading to an inquiry that found Tariq guilty. Although Tariq was initially fired in 2017, he challenged his dismissal in the Services Tribunal, which resulted in his reinstatement.
However, a subsequent Supreme Court order mandated a fresh inquiry, which reaffirmed his guilt and led to his recent dismissal.
