WEB DESK: Internet services in Islamabad will remain suspended throughout the day tomorrow, November 24, in light of the scheduled Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest.
According to GEO News report, sources within the Ministry of Interior confirmed that the shutdown will commence after midnight tonight.
The sources stated that while mobile phone networks will remain operational, internet and Wi-Fi services will be unavailable. It is also reported that this suspension might extend to major cities across the country.
The move comes in light of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) planned protest on November 24. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister has also vowed to reach Islamabad at all costs, adding to the anticipation of heightened activity in the capital.
The authorities have yet to release an official statement on the matter, but citizens are advised to plan accordingly in light of the expected disruption.
