ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: Internet services in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, which had been suspended for the past two days, are now being gradually restored.
The suspension was implemented on the instructions of the Ministry of Interior amid ongoing political protests.
While mobile internet services are coming back online, users are still facing issues with popular social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Many are experiencing slow speeds, making uploading or downloading pictures, videos, and voice notes difficult.
According to sources, social media applications have been downgraded using a firewall, causing continued disruptions. Authorities have not provided a timeline for full restoration of these services, leaving users frustrated.
