WEB DESK: Internet users across Pakistan continue to experience significant disruptions as slow internet services affect daily life and work. The issue, which began on Saturday night, has left users frustrated with limited access to social media platforms and online services.
Popular platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok have either gone down totally or slow. The slowdown also included services like PTCL and Google that are now very much affecting personal or business performance.
Many have reported difficulty downloading WhatsApp content, further compounding the challenge caused by the internet.
Although the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has not put forward any official word concerning the internet slowdown, it has been reported that the government has put up a firewall to filter anti-state content on social media. This still unconfirmed reason is said to have contributed to nationwide internet connectivity issues.
No clear explanation about the cause of such disruption further leads to public annoyance and shows how much the country continues to fight for internet continuity.
