ISLAMABAD: On Friday, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) issued a directive for all relevant agencies to implement necessary measures to mitigate potential flooding and extreme weather effects. Monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are expected to affect the upper regions of the country from July 27 to 31.
According to the NDMA, this weather system could lead to rainfall-induced landslides, mudslides, and falling boulders, which may disrupt roadways in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Galiyat, Murree, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Additionally, isolated heavy showers are forecasted for various cities in Sindh and Balochistan from July 29 to July 31.
