The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a forecast for rainfall across Punjab starting today. According to a spokesperson for the PDMA, most districts in Punjab could experience heavy rain accompanied by strong winds until July 20.

The spokesperson added that Southern Punjab’s districts are expected to encounter thunderstorms and heavy rainfall from July 17 to 19, which will alleviate the intensity of heat and humidity due to the showers.

On the other hand, PDMA’s DG Irfan Kathia mentioned that the rainfall could lead to swelling of rivers and streams in Punjab.
