The federal cabinet has allowed another private airline to start international flight operations to multiple destinations.

According to details, AirSial has been allowed to start operating flights to China, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and Kuwait. The approval was granted during a meeting of the federal cabinet presided over by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif upon the recommendation of the Ministry of Aviation, under National Aviation Policy 2023 and Air Services Agreement.

It should be noted that AirSial was launched in December 2020 and commenced its domestic flight operations later that month. It started its international flight operations in March last year with King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah as its first destination.

During the cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister also discussed the visit of the Saudi investor delegation to Pakistan. He described it as an important development regarding the economic relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to form a joint trade committee between Pakistan and Colombia was also approved by the cabinet. Moreover, the transfer of the Directorate General of Special Education from the Federal Ministry of Human Rights to the Ministry of Federal Education and Technical Training was approval as well.
