The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in various parts of the country, starting from May 27 night, which is expected to bring down the mercury levels and provide much-needed respite from the severe heatwave.
According to the press release by the Met Department, thunderstorms can be expected in Punjab, including the cities of Islamabad, Lahore, Gujranwala, and Faisalabad, among others, from May 28.
Moreover, rain is expected in upper areas, including Quetta, Zhob, and Ziarat, from May 27 to 29, while Chitral, Dir, Peshawar, and other districts can expect rain from May 28 to June 1.
This development couldn’t have come at a more crucial time, as Pakistanis are grappling with an intense heatwave, particularly in the provinces of Sindh and Punjab.
