DI Khan: Four Balochistan Levies personnel were martyred after unidentified gunmen opened fire on their vehicle in the Daraban Tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan district.
According to Levies officials, the deceased personnel have been identified as Naib Risaldar Noor Ahmed, Sepoy Rashid Zaman, Sepoy Daud Khan and Sepoy Bilal Ahmed. A civilian was also killed in the firing.
According to Assistant Commissioner Karizat, a truck was stolen from the limits of Khanozai area of Pishin on January 13. DI Khan police contacted Levies officials in Pishin and informed them that the stolen truck was in DI Khan.
Balochistan Levies Force personnel were on their way to Dera Ismail Khan yesterday to recover the truck when they were attacked by terrorists near Tehsil Daraban of DI Khan. The terrorists first opened fire on the vehicle of the Levies personnel and later detonated a bomb, resulting in the martyrdom of all the Balochistan Levies personnel.
According to Assistant Commissioner Karizat, a Levies Force personnel was talking to his family on his mobile phone at the time of the attack. Levies officials in Pishin received immediate information about the explosion.

It should be noted that yesterday, security forces killed 13 terrorists in an operation in the Mangochar area of Kalat district of Balochistan. During the operation, 18 security forces personnel were martyred.
