Five terrorists were killed in an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) conducted by security forces in Khyber district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Sunday, according to the military’s media affairs wing, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The operation was initiated based on reports of terrorist presence in the area, as stated in a press release by ISPR. The security forces successfully engaged the terrorists, resulting in the elimination of all five.

During the operation, security forces recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the terrorists, who had been actively involved in numerous attacks against both security personnel and civilians.

KP and Balochistan have been the main centers of this violence, accounting for over 90 percent of all fatalities and 84 percent of attacks, which include both terrorist incidents and security operations.
