JHANG: In the series of ongoing animal cruelty incidents plaguing Pakistan, another disturbing case has come to light. A feudal lord in Jhang has been accused of brutally torturing a donkey and breaking its legs after it mistakenly entered his farm.

According to police reports, the attack was so violent that the donkey, despite its severe injuries, attempted to escape and became entangled in barbed wire. A case has been registered against the influential landlord following a complaint by the donkey’s owner.

This incident is part of a larger trend of animal abuse. On June 16, a donkey owner in Hyderabad amputated his donkey’s leg in a rage after it fought with another animal. The donkey was transported to Karachi for treatment but succumbed to its injuries on June 23rd.
