Armed men abducted District and Sessions Judge Shakirullah Marwat in South Waziristan, near the border of Tank and Dera Ismail Khan.

Confirmation by Police

DI Khan’s Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mohammad Adnan confirmed the abduction, stating it occurred in a village named Bagwal.

The incident happened while Judge Marwat was traveling from duty to DI Khan, leaving his car and driver at the scene.

Lack of Responsibility

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Information Secretary Faisal Karim Kundi urged KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to address concerns about the province’s peace efforts.

Demand for Action

Kundi demanded accountability from the CM and emphasized the need for serious efforts to ensure peace and combat terrorism.

Government Response

KP CM Gandapur directed authorities to ensure Judge Marwat’s safe recovery, instructing emergency measures and the use of all available resources. He condemned the incident and vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.
