WEB DESK: Several sections of Pakistan’s motorway network were closed due to dense fog, causing significant disruptions for commuters and transport services. The closures, prompted by severely reduced visibility, have left travelers stranded and seeking alternate routes.
Authorities have taken precautionary measures to ensure public safety, shutting down major routes including:
- Sialkot Motorway (M-11): Completely closed for traffic.
- Motorway M-2: Shut down from Lahore to Kot Momin, leaving the route inaccessible.
- Motorway M-3: Fully closed, halting transportation activities.
- Motorway M-4: Rendered inaccessible from Pindi Bhattian to Abdul Hakeem.
Motorway police have strongly advised drivers to avoid unnecessary travel and stay updated on traffic advisories. They emphasized the importance of adhering to safety measures during these weather conditions.
Commuters are urged to monitor weather updates and plan their journeys accordingly to minimize inconvenience.
