WEB DESK: The Punjab government has issued a notification to ensure the disbursement of December salaries to Christian employees by December 20.
The Punjab government has directed the finance department of the province to facilitate all affected departments with payments of salaries and pensions to Christian employment holders.
Also, the Sindh government announced early payments of salary and pension for Christian employees of the province. The funds were disbursed on December 18, 2020, to make payment before Christmas, due on December 25.
In Pakistan, the Christian community constitutes a significant majority, which is why every year, the government of Pakistan announces holidays on Christmas Day, December 25th. Early salaries to be paid help Christians enjoy with joy and peace as they spend quality family time, and they also observe their religious and cultural traditions.
