WEB DESK: An alarming discrepancy has surfaced after a candidate, who reportedly failed their matriculation exams in 1988, was issued a passing result in 2024, prompting scrutiny of educational records and administrative oversight.

The candidate, originally from Karachi, was listed in the matriculation board’s records as having failed the exam in 1988. However, subsequent documents indicate that this individual later received a degree, suggesting successful completion of academic requirements.

Official records reveal that degrees were issued to students who had previously failed, bearing the signature of Secretary Matric, Naveed Gujjar.

Responding to inquiries, Gujjar disavowed any involvement, stating that a fake matriculation certificate had been issued to the candidate without his knowledge or authorisation.
