PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court on Monday granted one-month transit bail to the Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub.

Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim heard the PTI Leader transit bail application.

After hearing the plea, the Peshawar High Court ordered not to arrest Omar Ayub in the cases registered against him.

The PHC ordered Omar Ayub to appear in the relevant courts by January 21.

The petitioner’s lawyer states that Islamabad’s Ramna Police Station has registered a case against Omar Ayub. The petitioner wants to appear in the relevant courts.

The lawyer expressed fear that Omar Ayub might be arrested and requested the court to grant transit bail.

The court granted him transit bail for one month and ordered authorities not to arrest Omar Ayub.

Earlier today, an accountability court on Monday deferred its ruling in a £190 million graft case against PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi.

Earlier, the court scheduled the announcement of its verdict in the £190 million Al-Qadir Trust case for December 23 (today), but it has now delayed the verdict.

The accountability court Judge Nasir Javed Rana said they are writing the verdict and will announce the date of the verdict later.

On December 18, the court reserved its verdict in the case after hearing the arguments of Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi lawyers for eight hours.
