KHANEWAL: In an intriguing incident, Punjab police have arrested an outlet manager of a famous clothing brand for secretly filming indecent videos of women customers with a hidden camera in the boutique’s changing room.
The police have registered a case under sections related to the PECA Act and Sexual harassment against the outlet manager, identified as Moon Raza, and his two accomplices at the City Police Station in Khanewal.
According to the first information report (FIA), the police raided the shop on the complaint of a customer and recovered more than 100 videos from the shop owner’s mobile phone, leading to strict legal action.
The police said that Moon Raza used to make videos of women trying on new clothes inside the fitting room and harassed them during their visits to the store.
During the investigation, the accused confessed to committing this heinous crime for six months, blackmailing the affected women. The police have registered a case and further investigation is being carried out.
Earlier, a similar case came to light after the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) apprehended a blackmailing ring in Karachi involved in secretly filming and distributing inappropriate videos of women to extort money.
The agency arrested the key suspect Zainul Abideen Shah from a private hotel in Karachi. The accused, reportedly a social media worker, allegedly threatened a couple with releasing their private videos online unless a hefty sum was paid.
