Renowned journalist Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami expressed optimism regarding the extension of Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, stating, “I am hopeful that this decision will bring positive outcomes and contribute to greater stability in our political crisis.”
He added that Allah entrusted him with this responsibility, which they are carrying out very well.
He remarked that after the initial six months, speculation began regarding whether the army chief’s tenure would be extended. Now, it is expected that General Asim Munir will serve a five-year term, with a potential for an additional five-year extension afterward.
He acknowledged that Allah entrusted General Munir with this responsibility, which he is fulfilling effectively. Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami expressed hope that General Asim Munir and Shehbaz Sharif will continue to collaborate in this manner, leading the country toward progress.
