LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif ordered special discounts for the Christian community at Sasta Bazaars during the festive season on Tuesday. Additionally, she encouraged officials to join the Christian community in cutting a Christmas cake at the Police Meesaq Center to promote unity and inclusivity.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif assured that no compromise would be made on the security of the Christian community during Christmas celebrations. She directed district administrations and police officials to implement comprehensive security measures across the province.

“All relevant departments must take necessary steps to maintain cleanliness around churches,” Maryam stated, highlighting the importance of ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for the festivities.

The chief minister instructed authorities to enhance police and security personnel deployment at churches, particularly in major cities such as Lahore. She also called for proper traffic management to facilitate smooth celebrations.
