Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz introduced Pakistan’s first-ever virtual women’s police station, named “Meri Awaz…Maryam Nawaz,” on Monday.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed appreciation for the launch of the Virtual Women Police Station, highlighting its importance in sparing women from unnecessary visits to physical police stations. The inauguration occurred at the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA).

Elaborating on the functions of the Virtual Women Police Station, Maryam Nawaz emphasized its role in guiding women through various aspects of addressing crime, including filing an FIR, investigation, and trial processes. She emphasized that women could access police assistance through multiple platforms, including the 15 Call, the live chat feature of the Women Safety App, video calls, the Punjab Police App, and the Safe City web portal.
