ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and several other PTI leaders in connection with a case registered at the Ramna Police Station.
The court also issued warrants for Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, MNA Shahid Khattak, and MPA Sohail Afridi following an application filed by the police.
ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra approved the police request and directed the issuance of the warrants in a FIR registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.
Last week, the anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Ali Amin Gandapur and 25 others in a General Headquarters (GHQ) attack case.
ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah ordered Rawalpindi Police to produce all the suspects before the court on December 10.
The court issued warrants for 25 accused in the GHQ attack case, including prominent PTI leaders — Ali Amin Gandapur, Shibli Faraz, Shehryar Afridi, Zain Qureshi, Kanwal Shauzab, Tahir Sadiq, and Malik Taimoor Masood.
The development came two days after the anti-terrorism court inducted PTI founder Imran Khan among 100 others in a case — registered at RA Bazar Police Station — related to the attack on the GHQ during the May 9 violent protests last year
