WEB DESK: The General Consulate of Tajikistan in Karachi has launched a visa section. The newly upgraded facility is now completely available for visa issuance to locals, thus further connecting the two countries.

According to an ARY News report, the event was attended by the Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tessori, Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir, and other representatives. The inauguration indicates a revolution in the diplomatic relations of both nations to serve people-to-people connections through travel, tourism, and trade.

Governor Tessori termed the introduction of the visa section as a progressive step that brings visa facilitation to Pakistanis. He predicted its effect on tourism, culture, and collaboration at many levels. He congratulated Ambassador Toir for such a development, which he described as a mark of growing filiation between Pakistan and Tajikistan.

Ambassador Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir reiterated the possibility of fruitful cooperation in reconciling these two countries’ efforts toward the development of the region and mutual benefit.

Malik Khuda Baksh, Convener Energy Standing Committee in FPCCI, appreciated the consulates and Tajik officials for this achievement. He referred to it as beneficial not just for individuals but specifically for the business community to facilitate commerce, investment, and technology exchange.

The consulate has placed a visa consular in Karachi and plans to increase the staff with the growing application influx. It is expected to enhance economic cooperation, tourism as well as resource exchange all together to bond the two countries.
