PESHAWAR: Burhsa Bibi, wife of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, said that she was left alone at D-Chowk during the protest on November 26.
Bushra Bibi made those comments while talking to journalists in Charsadda after visiting the family of deceased PTI worker Tajuddin.
She mentioned that she stayed in her car at D-Chowk until 12:30am, completely alone. She added that she didn’t leave the location because Imran Khan had instructed her to remain there.
“I am not someone who abandons others,” she added.
She said that she came here because Khan told her to visit the families of those who had died.
This is Bushra Bibi’s first public appearance after she and Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, were accused of leaving PTI protesters behind. They were in the news following the party’s call for protests on November 24 in Islamabad.
The party had called for protests at D-Chowk, which started on Sunday, November 24, and ended in the early hours of November 27 after a clearance operation by Rangers.
