A shocking incident happened in Punjab’s Gujranwala where a newly-wed bride robbed her groom and ran away on the wedding night.
The bride made her groom unconscious with drugged milk before leaving the house with cash, jewelry, and other valuable items, the victim said in the complaint lodged with the police.

The groom, in his complaint, told the police that the cell phones of his bride and her relatives were powered off when he tried to contact them.
In a similar incident earlier this year, a groom from Pakpattan was also tricked on his wedding night by a bride. She fled away along with jewelry and cash worth over a million rupees.
The police said that after making the bridegroom unconscious, the bride collected all the valuables worth Rs1.2 million and took off.
