Lahore police have successfully recovered a three-year-old child who was sold for Rs50,000 after being abducted as reported by Dialogue Pakistan. The child, Adnan, was taken by unidentified beggars and later found in Mandi Bahauddin.

According to SP Cantt Lahore, Awais Shafiq, the boy was sold to a childless couple after his abduction. Authorities not only rescued Adnan but also recovered the money involved in the transaction. The man who purchased the child, identified as Imran, has been arrested along with his wife.

The suspects were traced through CCTV footage and apprehended the following day when they arrived at a signal in the Defence area, allegedly intending to sell the child again.

The police are continuing their investigation to uncover any additional victims and dismantle any other networks involved in such activities.
