Renowned Indian journalist Barkha Dutt held a meeting on Monday with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in Islamabad.
Barkha Dutt, known for her incisive interviews, reportedly recorded a session with Nawaz Sharif, the three-time Prime Minister of Pakistan, during the visit.
Indian delegation arrives ahead of SCO summit
The meeting took place as an Indian delegation of journalists and media representatives arrived in Pakistan to cover the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit. The summit, set to be hosted in Islamabad on October 15-16, will gather leaders from member states to deliberate on key regional and global challenges.

In a notable development, Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar is expected to arrive in Islamabad on Tuesday, marking the first visit by a high-ranking Indian official to Pakistan in nine years. His visit is seen as a potential sign of easing tensions between the two neighboring nations.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been invited to the SCO Council of Heads of Government meeting, which will take place alongside the summit.
