LAHORE: Anti-terrorism force in Punjab said on Saturday that it had arrested at least 12 terrorists during a series of intelligence-based operations across the province.
According to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab, the intelligence-based operations were caried out in Sargodha, Bhakkar, Rahim Yar Khan, Faisalabad, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, and Jhang.
Two terrorists of a banned outfit were also arrested in Bhakkar and Sargodha.
During operations, anti-terrorism force also recovered a huge quantity of weapons and explosives from the arrested terrorists, who allegedly intended to carry out attacks and instill fear in the public.

Meanwhile, the death toll from the yesterday roadside bomb blast in Mastung area of Balochistan reached to 9. At least 29 others including students were injured in the blast that took place near the Mastung Civil Hospital on Friday morning.
