ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has extended the enrollment deadline for continuing students to December 5. The decision follows requests from students affected by recent law and order issues.
AIOU Vice-Chancellor responds
Students had asked the Vice-Chancellor to grant extra time, fearing their semester might be wasted. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nasir Mahmood approved the extension, ensuring no student would lose their semester.
The AIOU deadline extension applies to students in Associate Degree, BBA, BS (ODL Programs), B.Ed., and Postgraduate Diploma courses. Students now have until December 5 to complete their enrollment.
Islamabad schools to remain open on Saturday due to ‘academic loss’
The schools in Islamabad will remain open on Saturday, to compensate the academic loss due to frequent closure of Educational Institutions, government of Pakistan Federal Directorate of Education notified on Friday.
All the schools in federal capital will observe Saturday as a working day, effective from tomorrow November 30, to February 1, 2025.
