Missing PTI focal person Intizaar Panjotha was rescued by police in the early hours of Sunday in Attock, Punjab, as reported by law enforcement officials.

According to a police spokesperson, Attock police halted a suspicious vehicle at a checkpoint, prompting the occupants to open fire. The spokesperson reported that the kidnapping gang was in the process of abducting an individual when police returned fire, causing the suspects to flee, leaving both the victim and the vehicle behind.

Intizaar Panjotha was safely recovered by police and identified as the abducted individual. He has since been transferred to a hospital for medical treatment.

Panjotha had been missing since October 8, with his case under consideration in the Islamabad High Court. On November 1, the Attorney General had assured the court that he would be recovered within 24 hours, a promise that has now been fulfilled.
