RAWALPINDI: At least 27 terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation in the Kacchi District of Balochistan, the military’s media wing said in a statement on Monday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Kacchi district on January 12, 2025, on the reported presence of terrorists in the area.
“During the conduct of the operation, own troops stealthily surrounded & effectively engaged the terrorist location, and after an intense fire exchange, twenty-seven terrorists were sent to hell,” the statement read.
The troops destroyed multiple hideouts, including caches of arms, ammunition, and explosives.
The ISPR said the killed terrorists were involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as innocent civilians and were highly wanted by law enforcement agencies.
“Security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability, and progress of Balochistan,” it read.
Earlier on January 10, at least five terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan District.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces launched an operation in the general area of Maddi of DI Khan on the reported presence of Khwarij.
During the engagement with terrorists, troops successfully eliminated five militants including the TTP ring leader Shafiullah, aka Shafi.
“Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces as well as target killing of innocent civilians,” the statement read.
