HARNAI: At least 11 people were killed in a bomb blast near a vehicle in Harnai district of Balochistan province.
Deputy Commissioner Harnai said that six others were also injured in the explosion that took place in Sharang area of Harnai.
According to the police, the explosion occurred near the vehicle carrying coal mine workers.
The majority of the victims are coal mining workers and belong to Puran village of Shangla.
Rescue work has been started at the affected area immediately after the explosion.
According to Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind, the injured in the explosion are being treated at Shahrag Hospital. An investigation has been ordered. According to initial investigations, explosives were planted on the roadside.
Shahid Rind has said that he regrets the deaths of workers in the Shahrag explosion.
