The Ministry of Federal Education, in collaboration with the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative to train the country’s first batch of chip designers.

The ambitious programme is set to address the growing demand for skilled professionals in chip design, a crucial sector within the global technology industry. The initiative marks a significant step towards building a robust technological workforce in Pakistan.

Funded by the Ministry of Federal Education, the program will offer intensive training at NUST’s College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, known for its excellence in engineering education. A select group of students will undergo comprehensive instruction, focusing on the latest developments in chip design, including system-on-chip (SoC) design, verification, and validation.
