The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted monsoon rains over the next three months, offering relief from the scorching heat.

The weather department has forecasted moderate to heavy rainfall across various parts of the country from June to August.

According to PMD, heavy rainfall in several areas, including central and northern Punjab, southern Sindh, and Balochistan, is expected during the upcoming months.

The meteorological department has predicted average rainfall for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan this year. As per the forecast, heavier rainfall in the first phase of the monsoon is expected compared to the second phase.

Earlier on May 27, the department stated that Punjab and upper parts of the country were expected to receive rain during this week.
