WEB DESK: According to the Economic Survey 2023-24, Pakistan counted 5.7 million donkeys in 2021-2022, a figure that increased to 5.8 million in 2022-2023 and further to 5.9 million in 2023-2024.

Furthermore, this translates to a growth of 0.2 million donkeys over the last two years.

In addition, the survey also indicates a rise in the cattle population to 57.5 million in 2023-2024 from the previous count of 55.5 million.

Moreover, the goat population has increased to 87 million, while the sheep population has reached 32.7 million.

In contrast, the counts for camels and mules remained unchanged during the same period, standing at 0.4 million and 0.2 million, respectively.
