WEB DESK: Pakistan defeated Ireland in the third T20 international on Tuesday, clinching the series 2-1.

Ireland set a target of 178/7, with Lorcan Tucker scoring 75 and Andy Balbirnie 35. Shaheen Afridi impressed with 3-14, and Abbas Afridi took 2 wickets.

In response, Pakistan reached the target in 17 overs, losing 4 wickets. Babar Azam scored 75, Mohammad Rizwan 56, and Azam Khan finished the match with a swift 18 off 6 balls.

Ireland batted first and scored 178 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Lorcan Tucker played a brilliant innings of 73 runs, while Andy Balbirnie was notable with 35 runs. Harry Tector remained unbeaten with 30 runs and Graham Hume with 10 runs. No other Irish batter reached double figures. For Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi took 3 wickets, Abbas Afridi took 2, and Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim each took one wicket.

The series between the two teams is tied 1-1. Ireland defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the first match of the series, while Pakistan won the second T20 by 7 wickets. After the series against Ireland, the Pakistani team will depart for England for a four-match T20 series scheduled from May 22 to May 30. Following the series against England, the national team will travel to the USA for the T20 World Cup.
