The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh, set for August 30 to September 3 at Karachi’s National Bank Cricket Arena, will be held behind closed doors with no spectators allowed.
The decision to hold the match without spectators was made because of ongoing construction at the stadium in preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The PCB stated that while they regret the situation, ensuring the health and safety of fans remains their top priority.
The ongoing construction is focused on upgrading and renovating the stadium to improve the spectator experience and meet international standards for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. As a result, it is not safe to accommodate fans during the match.

“We understand the vital role that our enthusiastic supporters play in cricket, providing encouragement and inspiration to our players. However, after thoroughly considering all options, we have concluded that the safest course of action is to hold the match without spectators,” the PCB stated.
Consequently, ticket sales for the match have been halted. Fans who have already bought tickets will receive a full refund, which will be automatically credited back to their accounts.
