WEB DESK: More than one hundred nursing staff members at PIMS Hospital in Islamabad have been dismissed based on verbal orders. The nurses have also started receiving notices to vacate their hostels.
Furthermore, in response to this action by the hospital administration, the nursing staff is protesting. They state that they have been working without pay for over four months, were dismissed without official notification, and are now being asked to vacate their hostels.

The nursing staff claims that the hospital is preparing to hire inexperienced staff. Sources say that instead of experienced staff, trainers are being employed to work in the hospital.
Moreover, it is noteworthy that the staff was initially hired on a two-year contract during the PTI government. This contract was extended during the PDM government but expired in December 2023.
The nursing staff asserts that their difficulties have increased, and they urge higher authorities to take immediate notice of the situation.
