Elizabeth Francis, known as the oldest person in America and the third oldest in the world, passed away at the age of 115 on Tuesday.
According to LongviQuest, a global database of the world’s oldest individuals, Francis was the oldest living person in the U.S. and the third oldest in the world. With five generations of family members by her side, she leaves behind two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
According to international media, her passing was due to natural causes related to age, and her family was by her side at that time.
